The Queensland toll reform petition
Robin Hood Tech’s petition, Remove Profit-Driven Tolling from Queensland Roads, asks the Queensland Parliament to review long-term tolling and the enforcement of unpaid tolls on essential commuter roads.
If you live in Queensland, read petition 4586-26 on the Parliament website. You can read its full wording and sign it while it remains open.
The petition sets out a request for change. It is separate from the current rules that apply to a toll notice you may have received.

The bigger questions
We look at how roads are funded, how long tolls continue, who controls the charges and whether enforcement is proportionate when someone falls behind.
We also examine legal arguments, including questions raised after Vanderstock v Victoria. That High Court case dealt with a particular Victorian vehicle charge.
