How Much Do Brisbane Tolls Cost a Daily Commuter in 2026?

Six dollars to cross a bridge might seem manageable. Paying it on the way to work, then again on the way home, is a different story.
Here’s what three common Brisbane toll points cost for a car in 2026. To make the comparison fair, each example assumes one crossing in each direction, five days a week, for 48 weeks. That’s 480 toll charges over a working year.
Gateway Bridge: $2,889.60 a year
The car toll at Murarrie, near the Gateway Bridge, is $6.02 per crossing.
That’s $12.04 for a return commute, $60.20 for a five-day week, and $2,889.60 over 48 weeks.
The Gateway Motorway has another toll point at Kuraby/Compton Road. If your route passes through both points in each direction, the car tolls total $9.57 each way. Under the same commuting assumptions, that comes to $4,593.60 a year.

Clem7: $3,249.60 a year
A car trip through Clem7 costs $6.77.
Use it in both directions on each working day and the tolls add up to $67.70 a week, or $3,249.60 over 48 weeks.
AirportlinkM7: up to $3,436.80 a year in this example
The $7.16 car toll applies to the Bowen Hills to Kedron and Bowen Hills to Toombul sections. A daily return commute at that price comes to $71.60 a week, or $3,436.80 over 48 weeks.
The shorter Kedron to Toombul section costs $5.36 for a car, so check the section you actually use before working out your own yearly total.
What these figures leave out
These are examples, not everyone’s toll bill. They assume the same toll point on every trip and do not include video matching fees, unpaid toll notice fees, other toll roads, or future price changes.
