WestConnex Tolls 2026

WestConnex is a connected 33-kilometre motorway network covering the M4, M8, M5 East, M4-M8 Link and Rozelle Interchange.

It uses two-way, distance-based tolling.

For a Class A vehicle, the 2026 WestConnex network cap is $12.74 for one continuous journey longer than 16 kilometres.

WestConnex Toll Prices in 2026

The main published Class A prices are:

  • M4 from Parramatta to Homebush: $6.75

  • M4 tunnels from Homebush to Haberfield: $5.85

  • Full M4 from Parramatta to Haberfield: $10.79

  • M8 from Beverly Hills to St Peters: $9.15

  • M4-M8 Link including Rozelle: $4.75 minimum to $6.48 maximum

  • M5 East from Beverly Hills to Mascot: $4.00 minimum to $9.15 maximum

  • WestConnex network cap for one continuous journey longer than 16 kilometres: $12.74

These section prices should not be added together to calculate a connected journey.

WestConnex treats a continuous journey as one transaction.

Which Roads Are Part of WestConnex?

WestConnex includes:

  • The tolled M4 between Parramatta and Haberfield

  • The M8 between Beverly Hills and St Peters

  • The M5 East between Beverly Hills and Mascot

  • The M4-M8 Link between Haberfield, St Peters and Rozelle

  • The Rozelle Interchange

  • Connections to City West Link and Victoria Road

The Iron Cove Link is a toll-free bypass within the Rozelle Interchange.

The following roads are not part of WestConnex:

  • Hills M2

  • Westlink M7

  • NorthConnex

  • Eastern Distributor

  • Cross City Tunnel

  • Lane Cove Tunnel

These roads can create separate toll charges during a longer Sydney journey.

How WestConnex Distance-Based Tolling Works

For Class A vehicles, WestConnex uses a $1.80 flagfall and a $0.6667 per-kilometre charge in 2026.

The final toll depends on where you enter, where you exit and how far you travel.

Once a continuous WestConnex journey exceeds 16 kilometres, the Class A charge is capped at $12.74.

The cap is per continuous journey. It is not a daily, weekly or account-wide cap.

A return trip is treated separately.

Does the WestConnex Cap Include Other Toll Roads?

No.

The $12.74 cap applies to the WestConnex component of the trip.

If your journey also uses the M7, Eastern Distributor, Cross City Tunnel or another separately tolled road, that road can add its own charge.

Use the official toll calculator before assuming the WestConnex cap represents the total cost of the entire journey.

WestConnex Vehicle Classes

Class A generally covers vehicles no more than 2.8 metres high and no more than 12.5 metres long.

Cars and motorcycles normally fall within Class A.

Class B generally covers vehicles exceeding either dimension. Class B WestConnex charges are generally around three times the Class A toll.

A trailer, caravan, roof load or raised roof can alter the vehicle class.

How to Pay WestConnex Tolls

WestConnex is cashless.

You can pay using:

  • A tag account

  • A tagless account

  • A Sydney Pass

  • Another accepted Australian toll account

If you travelled without an active account or pass, arrange payment as soon as possible.

Toll-notice administration fees were switched off for new NSW trips from July 2026. Number-plate matching fees can still apply.

An unpaid trip can still progress to a Toll Payment Demand and enforcement.

WestConnex Toll Relief

Eligible personal Class A WestConnex trips can count toward the temporary NSW $50 weekly toll rebate.

This is a Service NSW rebate. It is not an automatic WestConnex discount.

Vehicle, account, residency and usage rules apply.

Do WestConnex Prices Change Quarterly?

No.

WestConnex prices are indexed annually on 1 January.

The October 2026 quarterly price update affects several other Sydney private motorways, but not WestConnex.
