The Sydney Harbour Bridge toll ranges from $2.85 to $4.55, depending on the time and day.
The toll is currently charged southbound only. Northbound travel across the Bridge is currently toll-free.
All vehicle types currently pay the same crossing toll.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Toll Prices in 2026
The current toll schedule is:
Weekdays from 6:30 am to 9:30 am: $4.55
Weekdays from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm: $3.41
Weekdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm: $4.55
Weekdays from 7:00 pm to 6:30 am: $2.85
Weekends from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm: $3.41
Weekends from 8:00 pm to 8:00 am: $2.85
These prices took effect on 1 July 2026.
The same time-of-day toll schedule applies to the Sydney Harbour Tunnel.
Which Direction Is Tolled?
The Bridge toll is currently charged on southbound travel into the Sydney CBD.
A northbound Bridge crossing does not currently create a Bridge toll.
This is planned to change when two-way harbour tolling begins alongside the opening of the Western Harbour Tunnel.
Do Trucks Pay More on the Harbour Bridge?
No.
Unlike most privately operated Sydney motorways, the Harbour Bridge currently charges the same crossing toll for all vehicles.
The time and day determine the price. Vehicle size does not currently change the standard crossing toll.
Do Motorcycles Pay the Same Toll?
Motorcycles currently pay the same individual crossing toll as other vehicles.
Motorcyclists can also investigate the E-Toll ERider account, which provides unlimited Harbour Bridge and Harbour Tunnel travel for a quarterly fee.
Check the current ERider price and eligibility before applying.
How to Pay the Sydney Harbour Bridge Toll
The Bridge is fully electronic. There are no cash tollbooths.
Accepted options include:
E-Toll accounts
Linkt accounts
Australian interoperable toll tags
Eligible casual passes
If you travelled without an active account or pass, Service NSW says an account or casual pass can generally be arranged within 72 hours.
Acting immediately is still the safer approach.
Who Handles Harbour Bridge Toll Notices?
Unpaid Sydney Harbour Bridge and Harbour Tunnel toll notices are handled through E-Toll.
This differs from most privately operated Sydney roads, where unpaid trips are normally handled through Linkt.
A video matching fee can apply if the trip is identified using the vehicle’s number plate.
Eastern Distributor and Harbour Bridge Trips
A northbound journey on the Eastern Distributor can create an Eastern Distributor toll before continuing toward the Harbour Bridge.
The Bridge crossing itself is currently toll-free northbound, but the Eastern Distributor portion is not.
Southbound, the Bridge can create its own toll even though the Eastern Distributor is currently toll-free in that direction.
NSW Weekly Toll Relief
Eligible personal Harbour Bridge travel can count toward the temporary NSW $50 weekly toll rebate.
This is claimed through Service NSW.
It is not an automatic toll reduction, and account, vehicle and usage rules apply.
When Will Two-Way Harbour Tolling Start?
The NSW Government has announced two-way tolling for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Harbour Tunnel when the Western Harbour Tunnel opens.
This is currently expected around late 2028.
No official future Bridge toll amount or directional split had been published when this page was checked.
Do not assume the current southbound toll will simply be duplicated or divided in half.
