M7 Toll Prices 2026

Westlink M7 tolls are based on how far you travel.
From 1 October 2026, a Class A M7 trip costs between $0.71 and $10.57.
The $10.57 figure is a per-trip distance cap for one continuous journey longer than 20 kilometres. It is not a daily or weekly cap.

M7 Toll Prices From 1 October 2026
The announced rates are:
Class A minimum: $0.71
Class A maximum: $10.57
Class B minimum: $2.13
Class B maximum: $31.71
Until 30 September 2026, the Class A maximum is $10.50 and the Class B maximum is $31.50.
Trips shorter than 20 kilometres are charged according to the entry-to-exit distance.
A continuous one-way journey longer than 20 kilometres is capped at the 20-kilometre price.
Where Does the M7 Run?
The M7 is a 40-kilometre motorway connecting:
The Hills M2 at Baulkham Hills
The M4 at Eastern Creek
The M5 South-West at Prestons
The M12 at the Elizabeth Drive interchange
The M12 is toll-free. Using the connected M7 can still create an M7 charge.

How Distance-Based M7 Tolling Works
The tolling system identifies your entry and exit points and applies the corresponding quarterly price.
A short journey costs less than a long journey.
Once a continuous one-way journey exceeds 20 kilometres, the toll is capped at the 20-kilometre amount.
A return journey is treated as a separate trip. The cap can therefore apply once in each direction.

M7 Vehicle Classes
Class A generally covers vehicles no more than 2.8 metres high and no more than 12.5 metres long.
Cars and motorcycles are usually Class A.
Class B covers vehicles exceeding either dimension. The October 2026 Class B maximum is three times the Class A maximum.
Trailers, caravans, boats and roof loads count toward the measured dimensions. A car towing a large caravan can be charged as Class B.
How to Pay an M7 Toll
The M7 is cashless.
You can pay using:
A valid electronic tag
A tag account
A tagless account
A Sydney Pass
Another accepted Australian toll account
If you have already travelled, arrange payment as soon as possible and preferably within two days.
Recent unpaid trips can take several days to appear in a number-plate search. Do not wait for a search result if that could take you beyond the payment period.
M7 Video Matching Fees
A number-plate matching fee can apply if the tolling system does not detect a working tag.
The matching fee is separate from the advertised toll.
Check that your registration, vehicle class and account information are correct before travelling.
NSW Toll Relief for M7 Travel
Eligible personal Class A M7 travel can count toward the temporary NSW $50 weekly toll rebate.
The $50 threshold is completely separate from the M7’s $10.57 per-trip distance cap.
The NSW program is a rebate claimed through Service NSW. It is not an automatic point-of-sale discount.
Future M7 Toll Cap Change
The M7 distance cap is planned to reduce from 20 kilometres to 18 kilometres from 1 January 2028.
This would reduce the maximum distance charged for a continuous M7 journey.
The change is conditional on the M2-M7 widening receiving its final business case and government investment approval.

The announced target is 1 January 2028, subject to the required widening decision and approvals.
