The full tolled WestConnex M4 journey from Parramatta to Haberfield has a 2026 Class A maximum of $10.79.
The road uses distance-based tolling, so shorter trips cost less. The whole M4 is not tolled. The tolled WestConnex section begins east of Church Street, Parramatta.

M4 Toll Prices for Cars in 2026
The main Class A prices are:
Flagfall: $1.80
Distance rate: $0.6667 per kilometre
Lowest published M4 trip: $2.61
Parramatta to Homebush surface section: $6.75
Homebush to Haberfield tunnels: $5.85
Full Parramatta to Haberfield journey: $10.79 maximum
Wider WestConnex cap for a continuous trip longer than 16 kilometres: $12.74
Do not add the $6.75 surface-section price to the $5.85 tunnel price.
A continuous Parramatta to Haberfield journey is treated as one transaction and capped at $10.79 on the M4.
Which Part of the M4 Is Tolled?
The tolled WestConnex M4 runs between Church Street at Parramatta and Haberfield.
Travelling on the M4 west of Church Street does not, by itself, create a WestConnex M4 toll.
Eastbound, Church Street is the final exit before the tolled section begins.
The surface motorway section runs from Parramatta to Homebush. The M4 tunnels continue from Homebush to Haberfield.
The tolled section charges traffic travelling in both directions.
How the M4 Toll Is Calculated
WestConnex applies one flagfall plus a distance charge.
The final toll depends on:
Where you enter
Where you exit
How far you travel
Your vehicle class
Whether you continue through another WestConnex section
A connected journey continuing through the M4-M8 Link or Rozelle Interchange can use more of the WestConnex network.
The 2026 Class A WestConnex toll cap is $12.74 for one continuous journey longer than 16 kilometres.

Class A and Class B Vehicles
Class A generally covers vehicles no more than 2.8 metres high and no more than 12.5 metres long.
Cars and motorcycles usually fall within Class A.
Class B generally covers vehicles exceeding either dimension. Class B WestConnex tolls are usually around three times the Class A price.
A caravan, trailer, boat, roof load or raised roof can affect the measured height or length.
How to Pay an M4 Toll
The M4 is electronically tolled. There are no cash tollbooths.

Another accepted Australian toll account
If you travelled without an active account or pass, arrange payment immediately. Acting within two days is the safest approach.

M4 Toll Relief
Eligible personal Class A M4 travel can count toward the temporary NSW $50 weekly toll rebate.
The rebate must be claimed through Service NSW. It does not automatically reduce the toll charged to your account.

Will M4 Tolls Change in October 2026?
No separate October increase was announced for WestConnex.
WestConnex prices are indexed annually on 1 January. Several other Sydney motorway prices change quarterly, but the M4 remains on its January 2026 pricing schedule.
