Is Linkt Down? October 2026 System Upgrade Explained

Linkt account and payment services are temporarily unavailable during a planned system upgrade in October 2026. Toll roads remain open. Trips made during the outage should still be recorded and charged to the appropriate account after systems return.

Current status: Linkt says the planned upgrade is scheduled to continue until Monday morning, 26 October 2026. Check Linkt directly for the latest restoration time.

What is unavailable?

During the upgrade, customers may be unable to sign in, view trips, make payments, update vehicles or purchase some toll products online. The Linkt app and customer-service tools may also have limited functionality.

Can I still use a toll road?

Yes. Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne toll roads remain open unless a separate road incident or closure applies. Cameras and roadside equipment continue to record vehicle travel. A trip may not appear in your account until processing catches up.

What drivers should do

  • Do not repeatedly submit the same payment if the page is unresponsive.

  • Keep a screenshot of any failed payment or account error.

  • Record the date, road, vehicle registration and approximate travel time.

  • Check the account again after Linkt confirms service has returned.

  • If a deadline falls during the outage, contact Linkt and keep evidence of your attempted action.

Will I receive a fine?

A short system outage does not turn a toll into a government fine. However, the underlying toll still needs to be paid. If your account was already suspended or a notice was already overdue, the normal process may continue. Contact Linkt promptly once service resumes.
